Most social networking sites are considered to be a distraction and counter-productive, thus most organizations choose to block them.
How do you bypass these network restrictions and surf blocked websites at school or work? One easy solution is to use a web proxy. A web proxy is simply another website that acts as a gateway to connect you to the sites you want to visit.
